Here is a sample list of gear for my Teton Crest Trail trek in the Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming; late September to early October time frame; at high elevation around 10,000 feet; with temperatures ranging from 15 degrees Fahrenheit (nighttime low temperatures) to 65 degrees Fahrenheit (daytime high temperatures).
It should be noted that gear companies are constantly evolving their product lines, introducing stronger, lighter, and more feature-rich and capable gear each year. While this list worked for me at the time, you need to assess your wants versus needs based on your budget for the adventure. My advice is safety comes first, and with gear as your main defense versus the elements and everything that Mother Nature can throw at you, do not be excessively frugal with this investment.
